• Promotes a supportive environment for academic partnership by ensuring appropriate student placement and a positive experience.
• Maintains clinical skills as outlined, including completing timely assessments, setting goals, and applying nursing knowledge.
• Teaches students during their clinical rounds, and pre/post conferences.
• Supports and enforces the course syllabus in collaboration with the course coordinator.
• Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator.
• Grades clinical assignments and reviews evaluations with students.
• Serves as a clinical liaison between AdventHealth University and AdventHealth acute care units.
• Monitors and reports compliance with required documentation for academic clinical experience.
• Plans, implements, and coordinates activities related to training nursing students during their academic clinical experiences.
• Coaches student nurses and evaluates their performance in collaboration with the academic liaison.
• Measures, documents, and supports student competency, addressing any deficiencies.
• Participates , communicates, and serves as a positive change agent with academic liaisons and unit/department leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)[Preferred]
