Bring your oncology nursing expertise, compassion, and clinical judgment to AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. As an AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Oncology Nurse, you will provide and supervise direct and indirect nursing care while supporting patients and families throughout their cancer treatment journey.

Responsibilities

Ability to assess patients, prioritize care, and respond appropriately to changes in condition.

Ability to provide patient and family education in a clear, compassionate, and culturally appropriate manner.

Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and critical-thinking skills.

→

Ability to coordinate care across physicians, infusion services, benefits teams, and other healthcare professionals.

→

Ability to use electronic medical records, Microsoft Teams, email, text messaging, and other computer-based systems.

→

Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

→

Commitment to outstanding customer service, respectful relationships, patient safety, and whole-person care.

Education

→
Associate degree in Nursing required.
→
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Work Experience

→
One or more years of oncology experience required.
→
One or more years of inpatient oncology, ICU, or PCU experience preferred.
→
One or more years of physician office experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

→
Registered Nurse license required.
→
Basic Life Support certification required.
→
Oncology Certified Nurse certification preferred.
