What We Offer
~1 min readResponsible for maintaining clinical and business systems to support patient care delivery. This position analyzes business problems and recommends solutions that align with organizational goals. This role collaborates with clinicians and end users to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and other associated systems. In addition, this position coordinates with physicians and end users to document workflows, perform gap analyses, and develop future workflows during new implementations. Additionally, this role requires effective communication with hospital leadership, clinicians, physicians, and ancillary department staff.
Assesses workflow processes, identifies gaps, defines necessary process changes, and develops future workflows related to new solutions or functionality.
Designs, builds, and configures within assigned Epic system modules and supporting third-party applications, developing and maintaining system process documentation.
Demonstrates advanced functional knowledge of Epic, applicable third-party solutions, and the Microsoft suite of products.
Serves as a lead member of the team dedicated to developing electronic documentation solutions that support clinical workflow and practice.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, capturing business and technical requirements.
Develops test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, performs unit, system, and integration testing, and documents outcomes.
Remains current on industry trends and vendor/application/system updates, ensuring software modifications/upgrades function according to Epic specifications.
Follows departmental standards for software configuration control, quality assurance, and version releases, providing documentation and training on system upgrades and new releases.
Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies, initiates escalation procedures, and provides recommendations for resolution.
Participates in multiple cross-functional projects, utilizing project planning and coordination methodologies, tools, and lean methodologies.
Provides guidance and acts as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants. Actively participates in project, team, departmental, and other meetings, reporting status updates, accomplishments, tasks, and barriers to the manager.

Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of completing classes [Required]
Advanced of Microsoft suite of products [Required]
Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills [Required]
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills [Required]
Knowledge of clinical/technical workflow [Required]
Work with minimal guidance [Required]
Rapid learner [Required]
Associate college degree (as, diploma, b.a., b.s.) [Preferred]
Associate in a field of study such as business, is, or a healthcare related [Required]
Yearly participation in ongoing education either formal or through conferences, active professional organization participation, or journal presentations
5+ years of clinical or technical background [Preferred]
EMR application/implementation experience [Preferred]
Extensive experience communicating complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience [Required]
Requirements
