Provides technical and managerial guidance to the Instructional Design/Development team. Develops and implements instructional design standards and best practices. Collaborates with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify learning needs and objectives. Oversees the creation of eLearning courses, video production, immersive simulations, and instructor-led training. Ensures the quality and effectiveness of educational programs through regular evaluation and feedback. Manages project assignments based on team expertise, availability, and priorities. Utilizes graphic media and multimedia to enhance learning experiences. Coordinates with the Learning Management System (LMS) team to ensure proper course functionality and user experience. Develops supportive training materials, including instructional videos, job aids, and user manuals. Stays current on emerging trends in instructional design and adult learning principles. Provides operational support, troubleshooting, and testing for instructional design projects. Communicates project status, risks, and needs to ensure timely completion and achievement of learning goals. Other duties as assigned.

  • Expertise with course authoring software and eLearning design best practices. [Required]
  • Expertise with basic functions, test building, graphics, and Level 1-3 interactivity to include complex branching, animated video, customized audio, and scenario-based cases. [Required]
  • Ability to integrate organizational educational needs into learning programs using industry and evidence-based best practices and provided software tools. [Required]
  • Strong history (3-5 years) using video editing software (Adobe Premiere/Final Cut Pro) and filming best practices. [Required]
  • Basic knowledge of camera, video, and production equipment. [Required]
  • Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office 360 Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote, Snagit, Visio, Graphics software, and Visio. [Required]
  • Leads online course building /video-based projects, strong project management, collaboration, and customer relation skills. [Required]
  • Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals. [Required]
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts and ideas in understandable terms to all levels of internal staff (customers). [Required]
  • Ability to use tools provided to generate custom reports based on specified business requirements. [Required]
  • Solid leadership skills, initiative, and self-direction. [Required]
  • Working knowledge of principles of Learning Management Systems (LMS). [Required]
  • Ability to use LMS tools provided to generate custom usage and evaluation reports based on specified business requirements. [Required]
  • Ability to work independently while meeting hard deadlines. [Required]
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and education administration processes. [Required]
  • Basic understanding of HTML and SharePoint. [Preferred]
  • Familiarity with networking, IT and computer hardware terminology. [Preferred]
  • Expert knowledge of adult learning principles and education administration processes. [Preferred]
  • Demonstrated production skills including lighting, audio, and camera work. [Preferred]
  • Strong understanding of High Definition (HD) production and post-production workflows. [Preferred]

  • Master's [Required]

  • In Instructional Design, Education, Technology, or applicable discipline

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare education. [Preferred]
  • 5+ years of experience in learning systems software or technology-based learning development. [Required]
  • 5+ years of experience with course authoring software and elearning design best practices, including basic functions, test building, graphics, and level 1-3 interactivity to include complex branching, animated video, customized audio, and scenario-based cases. [Required]
  • 5+ years of experience with project management practices and software (ms project, or other pm tools). [Required]
  • Demonstrated experience with Final Cut Pro, Mac OS, and Adobe or Articulate products. [Preferred]
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. [Preferred]
  • Experience with Shared Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) conformant instructional objects. [Required]
  • Experience with Tin Can (xAPI), and cmi5 standards in learning systems. [Preferred]
  • Experience working in healthcare system instructional technology or learning environment. [Preferred]
  • LMS experience, preferably in a SABA LMS environment [Preferred]
  • Years of demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent course authoring/asset management/development tool(s). [Required]
  • Years of experience using Storyline (Articulate products) content authoring tools. [Required]
  • Certificate(s) from ATD (Association for Talent Development) or equivalent university-based certifications:
  • Master E-Learning Instructional Designer Certificate
  • Scenario-Based E-Learning Certificate
  • Test Design and Delivery Certificate
  • Writing for Instructional Design and Training Certificate
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) [Preferred]
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) [Preferred]
