• Maintains database, statistics, and records related to volunteer activities, and provides service hour verification and letters of recommendation as needed.

• Communicates effectively with volunteers regarding hospital policies, mission, ministry, and promotional events.

• Assists and supports the planning and implementing of department goals and initiatives for program structure, growth, and development.
• Promotes, recruits, screens, selects, and onboards new volunteers.

• Ensures volunteers comply with service standards, dress code, education, initial and annual competencies, performance reviews, and health screening/vaccination requirements.

• Monitors daily attendance and supervises volunteers to support departmental needs and enhance the patient experience.

• Recommends and coordinates recognition programs to acknowledge volunteer contributions.

• Conducts rounding to ensure volunteer and staff engagement and satisfaction.

• Follows established volunteer program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
