Supplier Development Engineer - Quality

AFL manufactures fiber optic cable, connectivity and accessories and provides engineering and installation services for some of the largest telecom customers in the world. Our company was founded in 1984 with a single fiber optic cable and today, we manufacture thousands of products and employ approximately 9,000 associates worldwide.

Location: Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

The Supplier Development Engineer works within the supply chain organization and across many functional areas including engineering and quality. This position ensures compliance and quality principles are followed to deliver the best possible customer experience.

• Advanced English proficiency.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of drawings, quality control methods, manufacturing processes, and industry specific quality standards. Injection molding and metal fabrication a plus.
• ISO 9001 QMS and technical process audit experience required.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality, engineering, or related fields.
