The API Manager serves as the program leader for AFL's Preferred Professionals Program (P3), responsible for recruiting, qualifying, onboarding and developing a national network of installation partners (AFL Preferred Installers, API’s) supporting technology deployments. The role owns API engagement, network growth, capacity planning, program governance, contract administration and strategic workforce scaling while partnering with PMO, Operations, Sales, Procurement and Finance.
- Develop and execute the P3 strategy.
- Manage onboarding, qualification standards and compliance requirements.
- Administer MSAs and Program documentation.
- Maintain a database containing API’s certifications, insurance and licensing compliance.
- Recruit new APIs in strategic markets.
- Expand geographic coverage.
- Lead API qualification assessments and recruiting events.
- Maintain strategic partner pipeline.
- Serve as primary relationship manager.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews.
- Publish monthly program communications and recognition programs.
- Facilitate annual API Partner Summit.
- Forecast labor capacity requirements.
- Maintain API capability database.
- Support major pursuits and workforce planning.
- Ensure adequate labor capacity across markets.
- Review PMO-generated scorecards.
- Identify trends and corrective actions.
- Recommend expansion, probation or removal.
- Track Program metrics and executive reporting.

Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor degree preferred
- Vendor/partner management experience
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Experience with enterprise deployments and subcontractor networks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Normal office environment.
- Use of standard office equipment.
- General hours of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. But ability to provide support during and outside regular business hours is required.
- Travel Domestic US (50) including weekend travel as required.
- Must be able to work in the United States of America.
