We are seeking an experienced and detail oriented Immigration & Mobility Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional immigration and global mobility solutions to clients by assessing their workforce requirements, advising on suitable immigration pathways, and managing end to end immigration processes.
This role requires strong knowledge of Malaysian immigration regulations, excellent client relationship management skills, and the ability to manage multiple immigration cases while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Assess clients' workforce requirements and recommend suitable immigration and mobility solutions.
- Provide professional advice on Malaysian immigration regulations, expatriate hiring requirements, and compliance obligations.
- Conduct consultations with clients regarding immigration options, application requirements, timelines, and potential risks.
- Support Business Development and Account Management teams by providing immigration expertise during client discussions and proposal preparation.
- Manage end to end immigration processes for inbound and outbound employees, including: Employment Pass (EP) , Professional Visit Pass (PVP), Dependant Pass (DP), Long-Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP), Cancellation and renewal of immigration passes, Exit and re-entry matters.
- Prepare, review, and submit immigration applications through the ESD and MDEC portals.
- Liaise with the Immigration Department of Malaysia, ESD, MDEC, and other relevant government authorities to facilitate timely processing.
- Monitor application progress and provide regular updates to clients throughout the immigration process.
- Coordinate document collection and ensure all submissions are complete and compliant before filing.
- Conduct pre assignment briefings and post arrival support for expatriates.
- Provide guidance to expatriates on immigration procedures, reporting requirements, and relocation matters.
- Coordinate immigration support throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, renewals, transfers, and employment termination.
- Manage tax clearance processes where applicable.
- Ensure all immigration applications comply with Malaysian immigration laws and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor visa and permit expiry dates to ensure timely renewals.
- Maintain accurate immigration records, trackers, and client documentation.
- Stay updated on changes to immigration laws, policies, and government procedures, and communicate relevant updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify potential compliance risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients on immigration and mobility matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing timely updates and professional support.
- Manage client expectations and resolve immigration-related enquiries efficiently.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction through responsive and proactive service.
- Review and improve internal immigration processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare immigration status reports and management updates.
- Maintain accurate case records and internal trackers.
- Support audits and internal compliance reviews when required.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in Malaysian immigration and global mobility.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian immigration regulations and expatriate employment requirements.
- Hands-on experience with the ESD and MDEC portals is essential.
- Experience with Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) applications will be an added advantage.
- Experience handling high volume immigration cases is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of Malaysian immigration legislation and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritise competing deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Mandarin, will be an advantage.
