Join Agilent Technologies as a Dangerous Goods & Logistics Specialist at our North Kingstown, Rhode Island manufacturing site. In this hands-on onsite role, you will support daily domestic and international shipments of chemical standards, reference materials, solvents, and related products while helping ensure safe, accurate, and compliant Dangerous Goods shipping operations.
Responsibilities

Process daily domestic and international shipments using SAP and related logistics systems.

Prepare shipping paperwork, Dangerous Goods documentation, labels, carrier documents, and shipment records.

Verify that shipments are properly packaged, marked, labeled, documented, and ready for carrier release.

Troubleshoot shipment issues, carrier exceptions, documentation concerns, and SAP shipping process problems.
- →
Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Customer Service, Global Logistics, Global Trade, and carriers to resolve shipping issues.

Support training, audits, corrective actions, standard work, and continuous improvement for site shipping and Dangerous Goods compliance.

Train and coach site personnel to improve continuous improvement KPIs, including documentation error rate, shipment rework percentage, carrier rejection rate, and SAP shipping error rate.
Requirements
~1 min readBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Chemistry, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
4+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, supply chain, manufacturing operations, distribution, hazardous materials transportation, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with domestic and/or international shipping operations.
Experience with ERP or shipping systems; SAP experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and compliance.
Experience shipping hazardous chemicals, laboratory reagents, chemical standards, reference materials, solvents, or similar regulated products preferred.
IATA Dangerous Goods and U.S. DOT Hazmat certification required, or ability to obtain certification before independently performing regulated Dangerous Goods/Hazmat shipping activities.
