This is more than a traditional PMO leadership role. As Director, Clinical & Diagnostics Division (CDD) Project Management Office, you will serve as a trusted partner to the CDD leadership team, helping shape strategic priorities, guide portfolio investment decisions, and drive execution of the division’s most important initiatives. You will lead the next phase of PMO evolution across CDD by integrating capabilities, driving organizational change, and establishing a scalable project and portfolio management model that supports future growth. The role offers a unique combination of strategy, execution, transformation, and people leadership, providing significant visibility and influence across both the division and the broader Agilent enterprise while creating a pathway to future senior leadership opportunities.

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to head the Clinical & Diagnostics Division (CDD) Project Management Office. This highly visible role is responsible for portfolio governance, project execution excellence, strategic planning support, and organizational change leadership across the division. The Director will partner closely with business and functional leaders to translate strategy into execution, optimize investments and resources, and build a high-performing project management capability that drives business growth and innovation.

This position reports to the AVP, LDG Strategy & PMO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the CDD Project Management Office, including organizational capability, talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Own the division’s portfolio planning and governance processes, driving project roadmap planning, investment prioritization, resource allocation, and portfolio trade-off decisions.
  • Ensure successful execution of new product introduction and strategic business initiatives against defined success criteria through effective program and project management practices, governance, and risk management.
  • Build and sustain project management excellence by developing project managers, establishing best practices, and driving adoption of standardized tools, methods, and processes.
  • Partner with business and functional leaders to align priorities, optimize resources, resolve execution challenges, and enable delivery of strategic objectives.
  • Serve as a key advisor to division leadership by providing portfolio insights, strategic planning support, and organizational change leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience in project/program/portfolio management leading large scale, complex projects and/or portfolios with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Proven leadership experience managing project, program, portfolio, or PMO organizations in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Deep expertise in portfolio, program, and project management methodologies, with PMP certification or equivalent credentials preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving alignment across diverse functions and priorities.
  • Strong people leadership capabilities, including hiring, coaching, talent development, and building high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, science, technology, or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred. Experience in regulated healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, or related industries is advantageous.

This job has a full time weekly schedule.
