At Agilent Technologies, we are looking for an enthusiastic and team-focused Manufacturing and Logistics Technician to join our site in Church Stretton. Positioned within our Materials department, this role serves as the crucial bridge connecting the complex, end-2-end manufacturing processes.
If you have foundational experience in a production environment, warehousing and/or inventory control and are ready to take the next step in your career, this position offers hands-on responsibility across material movement, stock control, and dispatch, supporting the production of Agilent's world-class scientific products.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assist with Goods In / Goods Out processes, ensuring all materials entering and leaving the facility are handled accurately and safely.
- →Perform material movement transactions, location transfers, and periodic inventory counts across site storage areas.
- →Prepare, dispense, package, and label finished products for final customer distribution.
- Collaborate closely with the Production Planning team to prioritize and dispatch customer shipments on schedule.
- Replenish critical chemicals, raw materials, and consumables to support active manufacturing lines without downtime.
- Perform basic analytical testing and quality verification of materials as required prior to production or release.
- Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety (H&S) guidelines, COSHH standards, and site safety policies.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs ) to execute order fulfillment and keep meticulous, audit-ready records.
- Perform cleaning routine, inspection, and basic maintenance of material handling equipment and storage areas.
- Participate actively in site-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) projects
- Assist in developing and optimizing material handling procedures to boost efficiency and workflow quality.
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse, stockroom, or material-handling environment, would be advantageous
- Knowledge: Capability to use basic inventory control systems (SAP or Oracle would be strong plus).
- H&S Conscious: Adherence to Health & Safety policies, working to defined work instructions and safe handling of chemicals and other materials.
- Accuracy: Strong numerical accuracy and high attention to detail for tracking material movements and maintaining records.
- Communication: Clear communication skills to liaise effectively with all departments
- Physical Capability & Flexibility: Ability to perform hands-on material handling duties, manual handling tasks, and adapt to shifting daily priorities in a fast-paced environment.
