Sales Account Manager – Pharma & Biopharma

The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth of Agilent's analytical instruments and solutions across Pharma and Biopharma customers in the assigned territory. The role focuses on account management, customer engagement, business development, and achieving sales objectives while building strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Promote and sell analytical instruments such as HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, Dissolution, and Spectroscopy solutions.

  • Manage existing customer accounts and identify opportunities for business expansion.

  • Develop new customer relationships and generate qualified sales opportunities.

  • Achieve assigned sales targets and support territory growth plans.

Account Management & Customer Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with key customer contacts, laboratory users, and decision-makers.

  • Understand customer applications, workflows, and business needs to recommend suitable solutions.

  • Support product demonstrations, technical discussions, quotations, and commercial negotiations.

  • Ensure a positive customer experience and maintain regular account engagement.

Collaboration & Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with application specialists, service engineers, marketing teams, and channel partners.

  • Coordinate customer visits, product evaluations, and technical seminars.

  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and CRM updates.

Market & Competitive Awareness

  • Track market developments, customer requirements, and competitor activities.

  • Share market feedback and growth opportunities with the management team.

This role is ideal for candidates looking to grow into a strategic sales position while managing a mix of existing accounts and new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field.

  • Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in analytical instrument sales in pharmaceutical customers/Market.

  • Good understanding of Pharma/Biopharma workflows and analytical instrumentation.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer-facing skills.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (Entire Pune).

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
