Agilent is partnering with leading biopharmaceutical customers in Ireland and is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduling Lead to manage on-site enterprise scheduling operations.
Agilent partners with a leading biopharmaceutical organisation across Ireland, delivering critical engineering and maintenance support services within highly regulated laboratory environment. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Planning Lead to join our on-site team based in a manufacturing campus in Limerick. This is a key lead role responsible for overseeing planning and scheduling activities for laboratory equipment, coordinating maintenance visits, and ensuring the effective execution of maintenance operations across the customer site.
The successful candidate will report to the Customer Service Manager, supporting the wider program management function.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Lead and manage the on-site planning and scheduling function, ensuring efficient coordination of preventative and corrective maintenance activities through specialist vendors and service providers.
- →Provide leadership, coaching, and development to planning and scheduling personnel, fostering a high-performing and customer-focused team environment.
- →Oversee daily planning and scheduling activities, ensuring resources and priorities are aligned with customer operational requirements and business objectives.
- →Act as the primary customer contact for planning and scheduling operations, providing workflow updates, managing escalations, and ensuring effective resolution of equipment and maintenance-related issues.
- →Coordinate service engineering activities, including work permits, site inductions, access requirements, and compliance documentation.
- →Monitor, analyse, and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including maintenance performance, schedule adherence, safety metrics, and work order completion.
- →Lead quotation requests, purchase order management, and financial tracking activities associated with maintenance operations and service delivery.
- →Oversee inventory planning and control processes, ensuring data accuracy, material availability, and compliance with agreed service level expectations.
- →Ensure maintenance plans, schedules, and work orders are accurately maintained within the customer CMMS system and remain audit-ready at all times.
- →Drive compliance with customer vendor management processes, including training records, risk assessments, contractor documentation, and supporting records.
- →Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Operations, and external service providers to ensure effective planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance activities.
- →Utilise SAP, Smartsheet, CMMS platforms, and other planning tools to manage schedules, assets, maintenance activities, and operational reporting.
- →Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within planning, scheduling, and maintenance coordination processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Requirements
~1 min read- Third-level qualification required; scientific, engineering, technical, or operations-related qualification advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or life sciences environment.
- Previous experience in a planning, scheduling, supervisory, or team lead role.
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and operational workflow management.
- Knowledge of GMP, EHS, quality systems, and compliance requirements within regulated industries.
- Experience using SAP, CMMS platforms, Smartsheet, or equivalent planning and asset management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and performance metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with a strong customer-service focus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively within a dynamic operational environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, team development, and operational excellence.
You possess strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities and enjoy working in a fast-paced operational environment. You are proactive, customer-focused, and capable of building effective relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.
