The Director of Housekeeping and Laundry Services is a key leader within the Rooms Division responsible for setting and achieving cleanliness goals and quality cleanliness standards of all guest rooms and public spaces within in the hotel. The Director of Housekeeping & Laundry must impact all elements of the department from standards of cleanliness and associate morale to budgetary goals and inter-departmental relations.

- Overseeing daily operations of the Housekeeping & Laundry departments, including the Uniform Room and Valet Laundry
- Ensure Four Diamond cleanliness standards are met in guest rooms, public spaces, and back of the house areas
- Review financial statements on a daily/monthly basis and Ensure expenses do not surpass budgetary controls
- Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen and uniforms
- Actively participate in annual capital and budgetary planning
- Provide immediate response to all guest problems and correspondence
- Coach, counsel, and mentor associates in the department to achieve goals
- Have a working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, chemicals, and preventive maintenance programs for such machines.
- Responsible for training all associates on proper usage and handling of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Supervise a team of 140+ team members, including Supervisors and Managers
- Provide associates with a weekly schedule
- Work closely with other departments, such as Engineering and the Front Desk to ensure guest satisfaction and Four Diamond quality
- Attend required departmental and hotel meetings
- Process weekly payroll and control overtime by properly scheduling staff
- Complete weekly supply inventory/purchasing and Conduct linen inventory quarterly
- Ensure compliance with all Hilton Brand Standards and Quality Assurance Audits
- Thorough understanding and responsiveness of Stay Experience Platform and Guest Assistance platforms for guest feedback
- Ensure all employee annual reviews are completed on time
- Review out-of-order rooms daily and ensure room type availability for arriving guests
- Develop LSOPs as needed
- Adhere to and enforce rules and policies of the department and hotel
- Ensure and monitor that proper key controls are in effect.
- Ensure all uniform room expectations are being met
- Ensure Lost & found articles are stored properly and logs are maintained.
- This position requires weekend work, as it is essential to the role. If you are unable to work weekends (Saturday and Sundays) you would not be eligible for this position.

- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written.
- Ability to use the OnQ property management system, Microsoft Excel/Word, ADP, HotSOS
- Able to use different types of chemicals.
- Requires the ability to manage different personalities in a high stress environment

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.

- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions or requests from managers, guests, co-workers and the public.
- Problem resolution ability dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist.
- Ability to operate telephone, computer, and understanding of Property Management System applications.
- Ability to maintain organizational image by demonstrating high quality guest service at all times.

- High School Education Required; College Degree Preferred
- 2+ years of previous hospitality experience is required.
- 2+ years of Housekeeping/Laundry experience required.
- 1+ year of Housekeeping/Laundry leadership required.
- Previous luxury hotel operations experience preferred
- Working knowledge of all federal, state, and local laws governing equal employment opportunities and civil rights.

- Be able to lift 50lbs
- Be able to push/pull carts that weight up to 400lbs
- Bend, stoop, stand, and walk long distances for the duration of the shift
