Reporting to and assisting the Warehouse Supervisor, the Lead Person will be responsible for oversight of the day-to-day activities of several employees at the Distribution Center.

~3 min readSupervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does oversee the activities of other employees. Must be able to handle emergencies and issues when they come up if the Warehouse Supervisor is not able to be reached. Must be able to file in for the Warehouse Supervisor as needed.

Education and/or Experience: No less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees within the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must have the ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to create and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have demonstrated knowledge of spreadsheet software sufficient to maintain and generate records and reports. Must have a good working knowledge of the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) including use of the RF computer sessions.
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations: Must pass OSHA forklift certification within 90 days of job award.
Other Skills and Abilities: Must possess ability to learn and perform all jobs at the Distribution Center to act as fill-in when needed. Must be able to read tape measures, scales, and gauges.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
