Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity through its Indonesia entity, PT AHK Testing Indonesia, who is looking for an HSE Officer to join our team based in Morowali, Indonesia. PT AHK Testing Indonesia provides independent analysis and inspection services to the metals, minerals and solid fuels industries. We have a well-earned reputation for our knowledge and professionalism in all aspects of weighing, sampling and analysis.
The HSE Officer plays a vital role in supporting the Quality and HSE Manager to coordinate and report on AHK QHSE programs, including preparing for Laboratory Accreditation under ISO 17025:2017 standards. This role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental laws, investigating workplace incidents, conducting regular audits, and developing robust safety procedures. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Skill in examining and re-engineering practices and procedures, formulating policy, and developing/implementing HSE Management Systems.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.
- Advanced analytical and objective critical thinking skills, with strong capabilities in compiling data and writing comprehensive HSE reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to personnel.
- Ability to develop and deliver educational safety workshops and in-house training sessions.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Suite applications.
- Emotional maturity and discipline to keep projects and teams on track.
Required Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Public Health, or Chemistry studies (experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis).
