About the Role
~2 min readHe/She is responsible for providing all types of marketing support to the Sales Teams and occasionally to the Operations Team, in the achievement of their respective duties.
This position will support the Sr. Manager for Business Innovation and Channel Support in overseeing business intelligence processes and analytics, development of strategic plans and strategic partnerships. He/she shall help provide a full view of CS’ performance and help sales channels in developing alternative source of businesses in order to achieve the set sales targets.
Performs any or all of the following in various degrees according to the position’s job level:
A. Product Management (40%)
Provides in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis positioning – 5% Recommends new products and product bundles (especially with Medicard) and works on the development thereof, inclusive of pricing and packaging strategies in coordination with the Product Development Committee, Actuary, Sales, Legal and Underwriting Departments – 10% Coordinates with and challenges the Group Office or local Actuaries to tweak or repackage existing products – 5% Packages products with other profit centers, affiliates or external parties for cross-marketing purposes – 5% Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
B. Marketing Services (25%)
1. Corporate Communications (Advertising and Public Relations) -
a. Writes and issues feature articles or advertorials pertaining to CorpSol’s products, events, various programs, clients and pre and post event summaries. Responsible in CS performance write ups for Exco, Group Office and external distributions – 5%
Promotions – 5%
Conceptualizes and consolidates channel requirements in relation to their promotional needs.
Launches sales promotions in coordination with the Corporate Sales Executives (CSEs) and/or Operations Team.
Evaluates, measures the effects of contests; monitors contest results vs. the objectives and provides timely feedback to the parties concerned.
Plans, organizes and executes special events aimed at, but not limited to promoting CorpSol to various distribution channels or existing clients. *Includes product launches
a. Determines, conceptualizes and creates the marketing materials (posters, flyers, brochures, teasers, primers, etc.) needed by the CSEs to effectively carry out their functions and coordinates with the pertinent departments for the delivery of such
b. Conceptualizes & sources materials for promo giveaways, contest prizes, etc. and coordinates with the appropriate departments for the delivery of such
c Keeps an inventory of said prizes and giveaways and requests for re-stocking in a timely manne. Prepares presentation materials (powerpoint presentations, flyers, teasers) when needed * includes product launches
Conducts market researches/market studies for both life insurance and HMO insdustries; forwards results of such and its implications to the Sales Team
Analyzes industry, economic, legal and political trends that may affect the corporate market, the group insurance business and the life and HMO industries
Researches industry practices & trends and prepares comparative analyses and recommendations
Identifies potential new market/s niches to tap
Training – 10%
a. Develops individual training programs and modules that will meet skills gap as identified in the training needs analysis and identifies individual training success criteria standard and metrics.
b. Executes the training programs for the CS employees and ensures acquisition of required knowledge and skills within specified.
c. Acts as the subject matter expert on the nature and processes of all the related elements and facets of the CS products.

a. Identifies and ties up with possible alternative distribution
channels
Sources and supports alternative means to promote Corporate Solutions (eg. Website, ads) Provides product support to the CS channels
b. Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
C. Business Development (35%)
1. Manages and implements analysis, analytical approaches and
methodologies of CS data. – 5%
2. Presents insight on business performance to management for
decision making & strategic planning and recommends areas and
methods in improving business operations. – 10%
3. Assists the Business Innovation and Channel Support Head in the creation of business strategies and development of strategic relationship with partners and potential customers through the study and understanding of the CS business and processes. – 10%
4. Works with the Head of Business Development in developing
strategic projects in collaboration with internal and extended
teams. – 10%
5. Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Job Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in roles demonstrating the ability to independently orchestrate product development activities cross-functionally from product conception through launch and post-implementation review.
Understanding of insurance product structures, underwriting principles, pricing considerations, regulatory requirements, and product governance frameworks, preferably in group life, health and employee benefits.
Demonstrated problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to translate market insights into product solutions and strategy.
