About the Role

~1 min read- →Support all indirect tax-related matters, including preparation, review, and submission of Service Tax (SST), Stamp Duty, Withholding Tax, CRS, and FATCA, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- →Ensure timely and accurate computation and submission of indirect taxes to relevant authorities.
- →Support tax-related accounting and reporting activities in line with applicable standards, including monthly accruals, closing processes, quarterly Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and compliance with Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) for tax processes.
- →Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the business and stakeholders.
- →Proactively identify opportunities and emerging risks to maintain compliance and optimize tax efficiency.
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tax strategies with business objectives and ensure policies comply with tax laws and regulations.
- →Provide tax analysis and advisory support to business teams, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- →Support internal and external tax audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- →Drive process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency within the tax function.
Requirements
~1 min read- Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification, with strong technical knowledge of indirect tax legislation.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in indirect tax.
- Familiarity with guidelines issued by tax authorities.
- Prior experience in the insurance industry is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex business scenarios and provide strategic, practical recommendations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven problem-solving, people management, and project management capabilities.
- Self-motivated, with high integrity, accountability, and a proactive mindset. Adaptable and driven to deliver results, improve processes, and embrace change
