About the Role
~1 min read1. Governance and Regulatory Management
- Act as the primary governance lead for CSD, ensuring effective governance frameworks, policies, processes and controls are established, implemented and maintained.
- Interpret, assess and translate regulatory developments, industry guidelines and Group requirements into actionable business requirements.
- Lead the implementation and operationalisation of new regulatory requirements, ensuring timely compliance across all impacted functions.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to the teams and stakeholders on regulatory obligations, governance requirements and emerging compliance risks.
- Drive governance awareness and foster a culture of accountability, ethical conduct and regulatory compliance throughout the division.
- Review and strengthen governance processes to ensure alignment with local regulatory requirements, AIA Group standards and industry best practices.
- Represent the division in governance, compliance and risk forums, committees and management meetings.
2. Compliance and Risk Oversight
- Oversee the effective implementation and monitoring of compliance controls to mitigate regulatory and operational risks.
- Partner closely with Compliance, Risk Management, Legal, Data Privacy and other control functions to ensure consistent application of policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify, assess, monitor and escalate key compliance and operational risks impacting the division.
- Lead and coordinate risk assessments, compliance reviews, control testing, quality assurance activities and gap analysis exercises.
- Monitor remediation activities and ensure timely closure of compliance issues, risk incidents and control deficiencies.
- Oversee the division's outsourcing governance framework, including annual outsourcing assessments and regulatory submissions relating to TPAs, APTBs, GI providers and other outsourced service providers.
- Ensure compliance with Data Privacy requirements by working closely with relevant stakeholders to maintain robust data governance practices.
- Provide oversight on departmental risk reporting, risk registers, control attestations and governance reporting to management and enterprise risk functions.
3. Audit and Control Management
- Lead all internal and external audit engagements impacting the division, ensuring effective preparation, coordination and execution.
- Serve as the key liaison between auditors and business stakeholders during audit reviews.
- Establish mechanisms to monitor and track audit findings, management action plans and remediation activities to ensure timely closure.
- Evaluate audit observations and identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and governance practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance control effectiveness, risk management and regulatory compliance.
4. Legal and Contract Governance
- Oversee governance and compliance aspects relating to contractual arrangements, client agreements and business partnerships together with Legal.
- Provide guidance to business stakeholders on legal and contractual governance requirements.
- Ensure proper contract governance, record management and maintenance of agreement repositories.
- Monitor contractual obligations, approval processes and review cycles to ensure regulatory and legal compliance.
Requirements

- Possess strong strategic, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, with high attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge in PowerBI or any data analytics tool will be an added advantage.
