About the Role

~1 min read- Perform portfolio analytics, investment monitoring and performance assessment for assigned asset classes, identifying key performance drivers, portfolio developments and emerging issues to support investment and management discussions.
- Prepare investment insights and reporting for management and other stakeholders, ensuring that portfolio and market information is accurate, timely and clearly communicated.
- Support investment processes and governance activities, including portfolio and mandate monitoring, regulatory and internal reporting, and enhancements to investment data, systems and operating processes.
- Partner with Product, Actuarial, Distribution, Finance, Risk and other stakeholders to support insurance product development and strategic business initiatives, helping to translate commercial requirements into appropriate investment objectives and providing investment-related product training and communication to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and evaluate investment solutions for new and existing insurance products, considering asset allocation, expected returns, asset sourcing, liquidity, capital, accounting, risk, hedging and other operational considerations to support product competitiveness and sustainable business growth.
- Support product-related investment workstreams from development through implementation and ongoing operation, coordinating with internal teams, AIAIM, Group Investment and external service providers to establish the necessary investment mandates, processes, controls and reporting and to resolve implementation and post-launch operational matters.
Requirements

- At least a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, financial engineering, data analytics, statistics, math, economics or actuarial science. Masters degrees and/or additional professional qualifications such as CFA preferred.
Experience and key skillsets
- Typically 7-15 years of relevant experience in insurance, investments, asset management, banking, actuarial, product development or a related financial services function. Candidates with fewer years of experience but strong direct relevant capabilities may also be considered.
- Good understanding of financial markets and investment products, with relevant experience in areas such as insurance product solutioning, portfolio analytics, investment reporting, asset-liability management or investment operations and governance.
- Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and translate investment findings into clear, practical recommendations for both investment and business stakeholders.
- Strong written skills, including the ability to prepare presentations, management reports, committee materials and investment-related product-training content for different audiences.
- Sound execution judgement and project-management capabilities, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, address implementation issues and improve supporting processes and controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs, form practical recommendations and communicate implications clearly to business and investment stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, including experience developing and delivering investment-related product training, presentations and decision materials to management and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant investment or analytical tools. Familiarity with Bloomberg, Aladdin, data visualisation or automation tools would be an advantage.
