This role contributes to the delivery of customer outcomes that are reliable, thoughtful, and create meaningful impact for customers and society. The role holder is expected to embed a customer first mindset in all decisions and actions by developing a clear understanding of customer needs, taking end to end ownership to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across teams to continuously enhance the customer journey—both directly and indirectly.

This position is responsible for overseeing investment operations activities and driving operational transformation initiatives across AIMHK's investment operating model. The role combines operational oversight responsibilities with process automation, workflow redesign, system enhancement and technology adoption initiatives.

The role will:
• Oversee day-to-day investment operations, including trade lifecycle management, cash management, reconciliations and corporate actions.
• Drive operational transformation through process redesign, workflow automation, system enhancements and technology adoption.
• Support fund administration oversight, fund lifecycle events and operational governance activities.
• Drive the adoption and effective use of AI-enabled tools and data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency, scalability and control effectiveness.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence and strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff and oversee day-to-day investment operations activities.
  • Monitor trade lifecycle activities, settlement status, cash positions and corporate actions processing.
  • Oversee outsourcing agents and service providers supporting investment operations.
  • Ensure timely resolution of operational issues, reconciliation breaks and settlement exceptions.
  • Oversee NAV production, valuation controls and reconciliation processes performed by external service providers.
  • Coordinate with custodians, fund administrators, auditors and portfolio managers on operational matters.
  • Support fund lifecycle events including fund launches, mergers, restructuring and termination activities.

  • Conduct due diligence reviews and oversight of outsourcing providers, custodians and fund administrators.
  • Monitor service level performance and escalation management processes.


  • Identify process inefficiencies, manual touchpoints, control weaknesses and operational risks and develop target-state operating models.
  • Develop and maintain process maps, operating procedures, control frameworks and workflow documentation.

  • Drive automation initiatives using available technologies, including Microsoft Power Platform, AI-enabled tools, workflow automation solutions and system integrations.
  • Develop automated management reporting, dashboards and operational metrics to improve transparency and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in investment operations, fund operations, fund administration, middle office or related functions within financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of investment operations, fund administration and operational control processes.
  • Experience in operational transformation, process improvement, workflow redesign or automation initiatives.
  • Experience in system implementation, enhancement projects and UAT testing.
  • Knowledge of NAV oversight, reconciliations, cash management and service provider oversight.
  • Familiarity with investment systems such as Aladdin, Eagle, Citidirect or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience leveraging technology, automation tools or AI-enabled solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to balance business-as-usual responsibilities with change initiatives.
  • Good command of written and spoken English
