AIA currently has an internship opportunity available to support their Multicultural strategy and to help bring this to life. This internship provides hands on experience for a student undertaking an Actuarial Science degree, supporting data driven projects focused on multicultural insights, migration trends and population analytics. The role contributes to modelling, reporting and interpretation of census and demographic data to inform business decisions and community outcomes.
- Assist in actuarial and statistical modelling related to migration trends and population forecasting
- Analyse and interpret ABS Census and related demographic datasets
- Support project based modelling activities including scenario analysis and projections
- Prepare reports, dashboards and visualisations to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders
- Contribute to research on multicultural populations, settlement patterns and workforce participation
- Assist in developing data quality checks and validation processes
- Translate insights for culturally diverse stakeholders where appropriate
- Collaborate with internal teams to support data led decision making
- Currently studying Actuarial Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience working with data modelling tools such as Excel, R, Python or similar
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and present insights in a clear and structured way
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual capability is essential
- Must be studying into 2027
- Cultural awareness and demonstrated interest in multicultural communities
