About the Role

Lead the Group's HKRBC and/or BMA solvency reporting activities from an actuarial and regulatory reporting perspective, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of regulatory submissions and related management reporting.

  • Lead the Group's HKRBC and/or BMA solvency reporting activities from an actuarial and regulatory reporting perspective, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of regulatory submissions and related management reporting.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on regulatory capital and solvency reporting requirements, providing technical guidance and interpretation of new and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal governance standards, ensuring robust controls and appropriate documentation are maintained across the reporting process.
  • Drive the strategic enhancement, streamlining, and automation of reporting processes, including the implementation of system solutions and process optimization initiatives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management by analysing key drivers of solvency results.
  • Oversee regular monitoring of the Group's solvency position and solvency position projections.
  • Manage interactions with regulators, internal and external auditors, appointed actuaries, and other functions in relation to solvency reporting and regulatory matters.
  • Review board papers, management presentations, actuarial assessments, regulatory submissions, and group policies and guidelines relating to solvency and regulatory reporting.
  • Lead and contribute to strategic projects, regulatory change initiatives, and other ad hoc assignments.
  • Develop and mentor team members, fostering technical capabilities, leadership skills, and a high-performance culture.
  • Establish effective stakeholder relationships and provide insights for the decision-making.
     

Requirements

  •  Degree/Master holder in actuarial science / finance / accounting or other business disciplines
  • Experience – At least 10 years’ experience and experience with multi-national company is preferred
  • Certifications/licenses – Good progress in Actuarial professional examination
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Candidates with less experience may also be considered for the role of Senior Manager
