AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk, transforming our operating model and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague – empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.
Generate new business by expanding broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market.
Be responsible for meeting larger proportion of new business target(s)
Connect Underwriters with brokers. Be responsible for informing Underwriters of broker networking opportunities as they arise.
Assess desirability of risk through analysis of financial reports and accounts (as required); regular contact with broker; thorough review of proposal; and review of claims history and general company information.
Use designated Underwriting system(s) to streamline underwriting and information-tracking approach across Profit Centre.
Provide excellent service to brokers through consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting. Ensure all brokers and clients are treated fairly.
Exhibit sales orientated behaviours, defined by Management as: motivated, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable
Ensure compliance with key regulatory and risk management responsibilities.
Ensure contract certainty.
Conduct self-audit as required.
Proven underwriting experience is required in the London Financial Institutions classes.
Experience presenting and selling Financial Institutions to clients.
Customer-centric approach.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet deadlines.
Experience analysing financial statements.
Enjoys networking and building relationships.
