AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including WSP, A&H, Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk, transforming our operating model and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague – empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.
WSP is a small team specializing in B2B2C product solutions including extended warranty, mobile device insurance and affinity/ lifestyle products. We distribute directly to clients as well as through agents and brokers and this role is focused on managing and developing a high-profile tranche of business which we believe has significant growth potential and a beneficial halo effect on other product lines.
Underwrite and administer a growing, profitable portfolio of WSP business within AIG’s agreed business plan and underwriting guidelines.
Engage, develop and grow WSP business through Partnership, Agency & Broker distribution channels to achieve both top and bottom-line targets and maintain client service levels.
Support the Head of WSP in developing and implementing tight operational controls in WSP Singapore.
Ensure that programs are implemented thoroughly in accordance with AIG Policies.
Ensure that financial bookings are correct and timely and monitor outputs to ensure any issues are identified and quickly remediated.
Collaborate closely with and build excellent business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, key business partners and intermediaries through regular visitations and engagement.
Any other assigned activities and projects.
Experience in consumer or commercial lines sales/business development/underwriting.
Candidates with warranty or affinity/ lifestyle products underwriting and/or product development experience will have an added advantage.
Background in setting up and administering new programs, project management and delivery.
Good communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, analytical and multitasking skills.
Organised and thorough with the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise accordingly.
Outgoing person who is a strong team player with results driven focus and customer centric mindset.
