Join us as a US Head of Construction (EAR) to play a crucial frontline role that will make the most of your technical expertise in underwriting.



AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk, transforming our operating model and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. Responsibilities

  • Broad and extensive Construction & Engineering underwriting exposure with at least 15 years’ underwriting experience of profitable business in the Construction & Engineering segment of large corporate international insurance.
  • Deep expertise in EAR with expert technical underwriting background of large and complex risks.
  • The ability to build relationships with clients and brokers at peer group level.
  • Specialized understanding of regional / local Construction & Engineering insurance markets and competitor landscape.
  • Client focused with excellent relationship management, customer service, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Capability to leverage data and analytics to make business more efficient and effective.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Highly motivated and ability to motivate others to achieve common goal.
  • Results orientated.
  • Preferably a degree holder either in Construction/Engineering, economics, law or other appropriate discipline.
