Position Summary:
The Sr. Integrated Master Scheduler will be responsible for creating and maintaining large integrated master schedules (IMS) for entire satellite programs, using the MS Project scheduling tool. This position will work within the space division of Airbus US on satellite development, manufacturing/AI&T, system level/mission integration schedules throughout the program life cycle from bid & proposal activities through program execution. This individual will also be responsible for insuring that the schedules are followed, working directly with supply chain and operations. This position requires that the individual utilize prior scheduling and operational skills to implement all operational tasks into the IMS and maintain daily contact with leads to ensure that all areas are on track. The Integrated Master Scheduler – Senior will also be responsible for working with the Finance department to ensure that the schedules are prepared for EVMS implementation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Bid and Proposal Support: 25%
- Develop IMS's that are responsive to USG RFP SOW requirements and evaluation criteria
- Responsible for ensuring IMS can score high in USG evaluations and pass DCMA 14 point audits.
- Author proposal narrative to describe the schedule. Responsible for ensuring all proposal artifacts related to schedule are developed for a compliant proposal.
- Lead working group meetings to collaborate with stakeholders to create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and schedules for their functional areas consistent with RFP instructions.
- Integrate schedules from functional areas to create resource loaded IMS.
- Identify critical paths and integrate "views" into Microsoft Project to support easy identification of Project margins and dependencies.
- Identify and author schedule, cost risk and mitigation plan & activities.
- Create and maintain all business development IMS templates.
Program Schedule Management and Analysis: 65%
- Develop Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to support project execution.
- Manage existing IMS for complex Government/DOD program.
- Collaborate with engineering and program management teams.
- Responsible for delivering all Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) associated with schedule.
- Conduct detailed schedule analysis, variance analysis, root cause analysis, critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, and "what-if" analysis.
- Prepare, review, and submit the IMS as a contractually required deliverable to the Government, ensuring currency and accuracy of the schedule reflecting program status at the time of submission.
- Provide regular reports to program management and executive leadership regarding schedule status, risks, and upcoming contract deliverables. Assess planned vs actual schedule status.
- Present your work to customers that analyze and critique your products.
- Advocate for your recommendations for scheduling improvements.
- Lead scheduling efforts for EVMS implementation.
- Responsible for incorporating operational responsibilities into all schedules.
- Work as a liaison between scheduling and operations to ensure daily IMS updates.
- Drive a culture of data-based actions and develop tools to create actionable information to drive improvements.
- Drive improvements in cost and quality using standard engineering best practices and lean/six sigma tools.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering/Science-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: MBA or Master's degree.
Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of integration and testing of space satellites.
- Extensive experience with MS Project functionality to develop and manage large complex schedules with integrated schedule, resource, and cost baselines.
- 7-10 years of scheduling experience on Aerospace manufacturing and DOD and/or NASA development/production contracts. Commercial industry experience is also highly desired.
- 5-7 years direct operational or engineering experience.
- Experience participating and supporting DOD and/or NASA milestone reviews.
- Experience collaborating with cross functional teams and subcontractors to integrate their schedules into the IMS.
- Preferred: 5 years of bid and proposals support experience.
- Preferred: Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
- Preferred: Experience leading an Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) for a DoD program.
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) on satellite manufacturing work flow to determine how to structure and reflect activities appropriately is desired.
- Knowledge with industry scheduling and planning standards to include Earned Value Management guidelines and methodologies.
- Familiar with different scheduling concepts and techniques and how they can be applied for effective management.
- Able to work multiple schedules simultaneously.
- Experience with OnePager or similar scheduling graphic and reporting tool desired.
- Knowledge of DCMA 14-point assessment for schedule health assessment.
- Experience on or with DoD source selection committees is desired.
- Public speaking.
- Examples of shareable work product desired.
- Knowledgeable of space satellites assembly and implementation.
Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):
- Excellent listening, comprehension & interpersonal skills as responsible for daily communication via email and phone calls required.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication (verbal/writing), and presentation skills.
Travel:
- Occasional international travel to collaborate with European Airbus counterparts.
Eligibility:
- US citizenship is required.
Clearance:
- Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Active DoD security clearance at Secret or above is highly desirable.
