The Project Engineering Manager responsible for managing engineering and procurement of Air Liquide investment projects ($60 mill - $150 mill) in accordance with the governance and work process defined by AL Global E&C Solutions.

During the execution phase the Project Engineering Manager works with the Project Manager/Director to prepare project execution strategy including but not limited to Scope, Budget, Schedule, Assumptions and Risks. Project Engineering Manager responsible for the successful delivery of complete Engineering and procurement deliverables on time, on budget and according to the specifications of the project. Prepare well defined scope of work for construction subcontracts (Civil, Mechanical and E&I) alongwith support from subcontracts team.

Responsibilities

  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible industry experience in managing engineering/ interfaces for large industrial plants.

  • Experience with detailed engineering with EPC, Engineering/Procurement, project engineering and field experience (fabrication site and offshore) preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines (Rotating Machinery, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation) work process with specific experience on design, erection and commissioning of large static and rotating equipment.

  • In-depth knowledge of Air Liquide engineering design standards and procedures covering all engineering disciplines.

  • Prior experience in using 3D Model Review tools used in plant design.

  • Technical background in industrial gas, industrial projects, ideally in ASUs, H2/He facilities.

  • General knowledge of work processes of engineering disciplines during execution of EPC projects.

  • Results oriented. Influential team leadership skills, good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong safety and reliability mindset.

  • Proven ability to interact positively with clients and maintain positive working relationships at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to work and make decisions both independently and within a matrix team environment.

  • Very good knowledge of project management methodology tools and techniques.

  • Commercial awareness for managing scope changes during project execution.

    • Occasionally to frequent (25% - 30% of work time) depending of location

    • Basic knowledge of Google Suite

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Project with schedule management skills for preparation of gantt charts is a plus

    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and familiar with review of Primavera schedule.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired
