Seven R&D sites of AL are located all over the globe. One of them is “Air Liquide Laboratories Taiwan (ALLT)” located in Hsinchu, Taiwan. This position will be for a researcher of the Electronics performance materials group in AL. He/she will evaluate novel ALD/CVD precursors and develop new cutting-edge processes for the semiconductor industry (see also https://www.electronics-airliquide.com/our-brands/aloha). The researcher will work in a multicultural environment and closely with internal and external customers and partners.

We are seeking a skilled process engineer with experience in thin film deposition of organometallic and/or silicon-based compounds, thin film analyses and/or high pressure gas handling.

The main responsibilities will be:

Specialist in ALD/CVD of thin films with organometallic and silicon-based compounds
Specialist in thin-film analyses using ellipsometry, XPS, SEM, AFM, FT-IR, etc and interpretation
Proactively maintain ALD/CVD deposition tools
Timely and concise reporting (R&D reports, patent applications, internal meetings, customer meetings, etc.)
Actively sustain interactions within AL groups and customers, support R&D and AL reputation in the field.
Lead and organize the tasks within WPs/project
Mentor scientists
Join the safety activities in Air Liquide laboratories Taiwan

PHD/ at least Master degree in ALD/CVD of thin films with organometallic and silicon-based compounds
Being experienced in handling pyrophoric, toxic, and combustible materials is a strong plus; the process engineer would need to shortly learn if not experienced
Fully work autonomously
Can face challenging problems
Strong experience in a relevant private R&D lab is a prerequisite
Fluent in Chinese and English
