Logistics Supervisor

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations to ensure the safe, accurate, and timely flow of materials throughout the facility, including receiving, material delivery to production, inventory control, and shipment of finished products. This position provides leadership and direction to Logistics Team Leaders and Team Members while ensuring adherence to standardized work, safety requirements, inventory controls, and established logistics processes. The Logistics Supervisor monitors performance against safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives; identifies and addresses operational concerns; develops Team Members; and works cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and other departments to support uninterrupted production and customer delivery.

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

• →Lead and oversee daily logistics operations, including receiving of raw materials and components, material delivery to production lines, inventory control, warehouse activities, and shipment of finished products.
• →Ensure logistics activities are performed safely, accurately, and in accordance with standardized work, company procedures, and established customer and production requirements.
• →Monitor and drive performance against departmental objectives and KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory accuracy, and cost.
• →Provide daily leadership, direction, coaching, and development to Logistics Team Leaders and Team Members.
• →Coordinate manpower and work assignments to support production requirements and changing operational priorities.
• →Identify abnormalities, operational constraints, and material-flow issues; lead problem-solving and corrective-action activities to prevent recurrence.
• →Ensure effective inventory-control practices, including FIFO, stock rotation, material accuracy, and investigation of inventory discrepancies.
• →Lead and support continuous-improvement and Kaizen activities focused on material flow, productivity, waste reduction, safety, and process efficiency.
• →Ensure Team Members receive appropriate training and demonstrate proficiency in required logistics processes, equipment, and standardized work.
• →Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and other departments to resolve material, production, inventory, and shipment concerns.
• →Monitor adherence to 4S+D, logistics standards, safety requirements, and departmental procedures.
• →Communicate operational performance, abnormalities, risks, and countermeasures to management and appropriate stakeholders.
• →Support implementation of departmental objectives and improvement initiatives.
• →Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.

The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for supervising Logistics Team Leaders and Team Members

• Working knowledge of manufacturing logistics principles and inventory-control practices, including FIFO, Kanban, JIT, material flow, and standardized work.
• Demonstrated ability to lead problem-solving activities, identify root causes, and implement effective countermeasures.
• Ability to monitor operational performance and use KPIs or other performance data to identify gaps and drive improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and develop Team Members and promote accountability for safety, quality, and performance.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across multiple levels and functions of the organization.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems and applications used to support logistics, inventory, reporting, and general business activities.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in manufacturing logistics, material handling, warehousing, supply chain operations, or a closely related manufacturing function.
• One (1) or more years of demonstrated leadership experience, such as Team Leader, Lead, Supervisor, or comparable responsibility for coordinating and developing Team Members.
