Special Education tutor

• →Deliver individualized educational sessions to students with ADHD and autism.
• →Mentor and support neurotypical middle school students in their academic and personal development.
• →Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning needs and styles.
• →Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting strategies as necessary.
• →Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to ensure cohesive support for each student's educational journey.
• →Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and participation.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Experience working with students with ADHD and autism.
• Strong mentoring and interpersonal skills with a passion for working with middle school students.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to develop and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

We require a commitment of at least 15 hours/week for the full school year. A full time role may also be available for a qualified candidate. $33-$40/hour 

AJ Tutoring and Cypress College Prep are sister organizations that share space in downtown Menlo Park. AJ offers 1-on-1 tutoring to middle and high schoolers after school, while Cypress offers a fully accredited school during regular school hours.
