VP of Technical & Executive Talent

We are looking for a VP of Technical & Executive Recruiting to lead our global Engineering and Product hiring strategy, from individual contributors to senior executives.

This role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence. You will build and lead a high-performing technical recruiting organization, partner with C-level leaders, and leverage automation and analytics to deliver high-quality hires. Crucially, you will collaborate with our Employer Branding team to build a compelling global talent brand and partner with People Business Partners (HRBPs) to seamlessly deliver on talent needs.

• Global Hiring Strategy: Own end-to-end Engineering and Product recruitment across global markets, from junior talent to Staff+, Head, VP, and C-level roles.
• Build a direct-sourcing engine of talent pools, referrals and outreach.
• Run executive searches end to end: mandate, market map, outreach, assessment, close.
• Talent Delivery & HRBP Alignment: Partner closely with HRBPs to translate workforce planning into timely, actionable manpower delivery across global hubs.
• Employer Branding Integration: Collaborate with Employer Branding to build targeted developer marketing campaigns and activate talent attraction strategies across key engineering regions.
• Technical Recruiting Excellence: Apply deep technical knowledge to assess candidates, set hiring benchmarks, and optimize interview processes across tech disciplines.
• Train hiring managers and run interview calibration with the CTO and CPO's leadership teams.
• Operations & Analytics: Run recruiting operations using ATS platforms, automation, and AI tools—using funnel conversion, time-to-hire, and key metrics to drive outcomes.
• Own funnel metrics in the ATS: source mix, conversion, time-to-fill, offer acceptance.
• Senior Stakeholder Partnership: Reporting to Chief People Officer, partner with the CEO, CTO, CPO, and business leaders on workforce planning, market insights, and executive recruitment.
• Team Leadership: Build and coach a high-performing recruiting organization, managing senior leaders such as Managers, Senior Managers, and AVPs.

• Increasing share of Eng and Product hires from direct sourcing and referrals up against the baseline.
• Senior engineering time-to-fill at or below target.
• Hiring manager satisfaction increased every quarter.
• Delivering on overall Ajaib talent’s strategy and needs through seamless alignment with HRBPs.
• Elevating Ajaib’s global developer brand in partnership with Employer Branding.
• Building a scalable, automated, and data-driven recruiting operation.

• 12+ years of executive search experience (including 3+ years in-house at a scaleup), with seasoned experience managing Managers, Senior Managers, or AVPs.
• Has run executive searches end to end; a background in executive search firms is ideal.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-growth global startup or fintech environment is strongly preferred.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Proven track record of working with Employer Branding to scale talent attraction and partnering with HRBPs to deliver on manpower forecasts.
• Global Tech Hiring: Proven success hiring across Engineering and Product disciplines, from ICs to senior executives, across international markets.
• Having networks across SEA, India, Eastern Europe and the Middle East is ideal. 
• Deep Technical Acumen: Ability to evaluate complex technical skills, role requirements, seniority, and engineering leadership capabilities.
• Data-Driven & Systems Rigor: Expertise in managing high-volume pipelines, ATS platforms, automation, and funnel metrics to drive decision-making.
• Executive Presence: Strong executive stakeholder management, negotiation, and candidate-closing skills.
