Logistics - Material Handler

    DEPARTMENT:               Logistics JOB TITLE:                       Material Handler FLSA STATUS:                  Non-Exempt REPORTS TO:                  Logistics Team Leader           6 am - 6 pm  Sunday - Tuesday, every other Wednesday   SUMMARY: With little supervision performs a wide variety of complex material handling duties serving a number of work groups.  Work includes performing these tasks or may include directing others to perform: Receiving, verifying the correctness of shipments, checking for shortages and routing material to its proper destination; Shipping, preparing material for shipping, packing, routing; and stock-keeping, stocking, selecting and dispensing a large variety of materials and supplies.  May load, unload, move, deliver, inventory and order materials as required.  May provide training and work direction to others as required.  Keep necessary records.  Work to written and verbal instructions.  Acts to maintain the integrity of processes and products.      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: To deliver raw materials to production lines (bales) To maintain a good working relationship with all departments Maintain accurate records of all movement for proper inventory levels Computer skills Maintain 5S Standard of Cleanliness Good Time management skills Task oriented Performs other duties as assigned   REQUIRED TRAINING: Basic hazardous communication PPE Fork truck training On the job safety review   PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Mentally and physically alert at all times Good vision and depth perception
