Logistics - Shipper Receiver

    DEPARTMENT:                 Logistics JOB TITLE:                         Shipper Receiver FLSA STATUS:                   Non-Exempt REPORTS TO:                    Logistics Team Leader    SHIFT:                                 Monday - Friday 8am-4pm  CATEGORY:                       Machine Operator II       SUMMARY: With little supervision performs a wide variety of complex material handling duties serving a number of work groups.  Work includes performing these tasks or may include directing others to perform: Receiving, verifying the correctness of shipments, checking for shortages and routing material to its proper destination; Shipping, preparing material for shipping, packing, routing; and stock-keeping, stocking, selecting and dispensing a large variety of materials and supplies.  May load, unload, move, deliver, inventory and order materials as required.  May provide training and work direction to others as required.  Keep necessary records.  Work to written and verbal instructions.  Acts to maintain the integrity of processes and products.      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Always maintain a safe work environment To properly load and unload all shipments To properly warehouse all inventory Creates all documentation associated with shipments Maintain a good working relationship with all departments Maintain accurate records of all movement for proper inventory levels Computer skills Good Time management skills Task-oriented Performs other duties as required     REQUIRED TRAINING: Basic hazardous communication PPE Fork truck training On-the-job safety review     PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Mentally and physically alert at all times Good vision and depth perception
