Assistant (Lab), Paediatrics & Child Health

Specific responsibilities include to:

• →liaise closely with the Research Supervisor, laboratory staff, and MSL-IDRL administrative team to ensure smooth coordination of laboratory and field research activities
• →manage all work processes to ensure effective use of time
• →perform assigned lab-related tasks including Red Cap data entry, RDT performance, sample handling and receiving
• →liaise with administration regarding logistics for field work
• →participate in and conduct regular trainings
• →raise wider community awareness on child health-related issues based on prepared project activity guidelines
• →follow and ensure lab-related SOPs/guidelines as defined in the research projects
• →prepare and present weekly project-related activity reports, data quality issues, and key findings
• →conduct weekly and monthly reviews of laboratory assay data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and protocol compliance
• →provide structured feedback and observations from data reviews to the Research Supervisor
• →assist in data cleaning, validation, and verification of laboratory datasets in collaboration with the data management team and study-related lab staff
• →participate in review meetings and contribute field/lab assay insights.

Requirements:

You should have:

• →Intermediate qualification (preferably Science)
• →1 to 2 years preferably of lab-related experience
• →sensitivity to cultural differences
• →ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
• →excellent team player
• →good communication and interpersonal skills
• →resilience and ability to cope with work pressure
• →willingness to work in shift duties.
