About the role

We’re looking for a Video Editing Intern with strong video editing and After Effects skills to create engaging content for Alaan’s social media channels and advertising campaigns.

You’ll transform raw footage, product animations, and creative concepts into polished videos with strong pacing, thoughtful color grading, precise audio synchronization, and compelling animated typography.

What you'll do

• Edit social media content, brand videos, and performance ads from raw footage through final delivery.
• Modify and adapt existing After Effects compositions used for product animations.
• Adjust animation timing, transitions, easing, and pacing to synchronize precisely with music, voiceovers, and sound effects.
• Create kinetic typography and animated text overlays that communicate messages clearly and hold viewers’ attention.
• Color-correct and grade footage to create a polished, consistent visual look across different shots and content formats.
• Create strong opening hooks and build clear visual narratives for short-form videos.
• Repurpose long-form footage into engaging short-form content.
• Iterate on creative work using internal feedback and campaign performance insights.

What we are looking for

• A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating video editing, motion graphics, and visual storytelling skills.
• Medium proficiency in Adobe After Effects is a MUST.
• Medium proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is a MUST.
• Familiarity with color correction and color grading is a plus.
• A good understanding of typography, including hierarchy, spacing, composition, and readability.
• Experience creating kinetic typography and animated text overlays.
• A good understanding of rhythm, pacing, transitions, motion principles, sound design, and visual composition.
• Familiarity with social media and performance-ad formats, trends, and platform specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
