Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Process medical record requests from insurance companies related to pending claims including faxing, mailing, or uploading files to payer portals
- →Ensure responses are timely, accurate, and complete
- →Verify patient information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- →Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient information
Requirements

- Experience in medical records, health information management, or administrative support preferred
- Knowledge of EHR systems preferred
- Familiarity with HIPAA and data privacy standards preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software
- Office-based setting within a business or administrative department
- Minimal to no direct patient interaction
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Confidentiality and ethical handling of information
- Time management and multitasking to meet strict deadlines
- Communication and coordination across departments
