Description

The Machine Builder is responsible for constructing and assembling machinery to meet production standards and operational needs. This role is essential for ensuring that machines are accurately built, function efficiently, and comply with safety guidelines, supporting the overall productivity and success of the company.

  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble and install mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assembly components according to blueprints and technical drawings. 
  • Blueprint Reading: Accurately interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure precise assembly.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical issues during the assembly and installation process.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineering and design teams to refine machine designs and improve functionality.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and necessary repairs to machinery. 
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of assembly processes and update technical manuals. 
  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Machine Builder or in a similar role.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Candidate must be able to perform the physical responsibilities of the job utilizing arms, hands, and fingers to perform complex functions of manufacturing parts and performing other duties of the job, e.g., standing, sitting, walking through the facility and stairs, bending, squatting, and kneeling, etc. 
  • Frequently move and maneuver on ladders of varying sizes.
  • Manual dexterity to manage tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.

 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, ambient air, fumes, or airborne particles.
  • Work may involve exposure to industrial environments.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will encounter prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, walking, talking, or listening; use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and others office devices and reach with hands and arms.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally high requiring safety equipment to be utilized.
