Albers Aerospace is reimagining how knowledge work gets done at our corporate headquarters by building AI systems that carry out internal business processes end to end. This role is for an AI-native product owner who wants to build – someone who meets with stakeholders and turns their needs into working software in days, not months. Using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, you will own discovery and rapidly produce first-draft implementations at a fast, iterative cadence. You will work alongside a team of senior software engineers who will assist and perform code review, giving you a technical backstop while you move quickly and grow into deeper engineering over time.

  • Own discovery and requirements gathering with stakeholders, translating business needs into prioritized product backlogs and actionable development plans.
  • Rapidly produce first-draft implementations using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and other LLM-powered platforms.
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and AI-driven operational improvements.
  • Demonstrate solutions to stakeholders, gather feedback, iterate quickly, and drive user adoption.
  • Design, build, and maintain internal business applications that automate workflows across Finance, HR, Contracts, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Collaborate with senior software engineers to refine technical approaches, participate in code reviews, and continuously improve software quality and maintainability.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between internal applications, ERP systems, databases, APIs, and third-party business platforms.
  • Configure, test, and deploy software solutions using established CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployment environments.
  • Apply testing, validation, and release management best practices to ensure reliable and secure software delivery.
  • Work closely with IT, Cybersecurity, and Compliance teams to ensure applications meet security requirements and properly handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve reliability, scalability, and user experience.
  • Create and maintain technical and user documentation, including workflows, process maps, user guides, and system requirements.
  • Support data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development to improve operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools, and frameworks to identify opportunities for increased automation and business value.
  • Support pilot projects, proof-of-concepts, and rapid experimentation initiatives designed to accelerate organizational adoption of AI technologies.
  • Maintain a high level of ownership and accountability for product outcomes, ensuring delivered solutions achieve measurable business results.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve process efficiency, and enhance employee productivity through automation.
