PTM Environmental Technician

Reporting to the Operations Manager or to such other person designated by him, the Environmental Technician will perform a variety of duties involving removal, transportation, loading, and disposal of all types of asbestos materials and other hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work within duties and requirements of the Company Management Plan.
• Collection and packaging of waste from different waste generators.
• Dismantling, packaging of waste and decontamination of related areas.
• Proper use and maintenance of personal protection and decontamination equipment.
• Loading of waste onto containers in preparation for shipment.
• Proper labelling of waste and containers.
• Collection of consumables required for use on site operations.
• Proper use of company vehicles and equipment.
• Any other tasks that may be required for the day-to-day operations of the company.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & ATTRIBUTES:

• Forklift Driving License
• Working at Heights Certification
• Confined Space Certification
• Cherry Picker License
• Industrial Breathing Protection Course
• Certification for ACM Removal
• Certification for Handling of Chemicals
• Shredding
• Labelling & Sorting of Paperwork
• Valid Maltese or EU Category B Driving License

Note: The company will provide a certification program spanning the probationary period for the selected candidate to obtain the above listed certifications.

GOOD TO HAVE:

• Vehicle License C (7.5T Upwards)
• Vehicle License C 1 (7.5T Upwards)
• ADR Class 3, 6, 9
• Fire Warden
• First Aider
