Responsibilities
~4 min readSupport for delivering the business plan:
· In line with the wider HR strategy, support in developing and delivering the annual operational business plans and KPIs for the DOM team and contribute to performance monitoring and reporting for the unit so that overall objectives are met.
Advisory on all HR matters:
· Provide advice to the DOM senior management on all people matters, including the development and approval of the people agenda and associated plans in close coordination and alignment with Alcazar HQ.
· Provide advice and support on all DOM HR-related matters, activities and projects in order to contribute to the achievement of HR objectives and plans in line with overall business strategy and guidelines, thus supporting the provision of quality and leading HR services to its stakeholders while ensuring that talent needs are met.
· Support the global and lead the local communication of all HR related matters, including policy, frameworks, processes or procedural changes that impact the team, in order to create clarity and awareness for employees.
Acting as the HRBP for all DOM matters globally:
· Act as a focal point of contact on all people matters ensuring the provision of reliable and timely support and guidance to the assigned team and assets, as applicable.
· Implement HR services, programs and frameworks, in close liaison with Alcazar HQ, ensuring effective execution in line with the HR strategy and Alcazar guidelines
· Act as a focal point of contact for global DOM employees and compliance related issues, conflicts or grievances and ensure effective and timely resolution in line with the overarching HR policies and guidelines.
· Escalate where appropriate HR and people risks to the Global Head of HR
Management of the entire employee lifecycle
· Manage the entire employee lifecycle of all employees in the DOM team from their joining, training and development, engagement, reward, performance management and others until they leave the organisation, ensuring all associated processes and activities are completed in line with Alcazar guidelines, framework and policies.
In-depth understanding of Spanish labour law
· knowledge of Spanish labour and employment law, with the ability to apply it practically to day-to-day HR decisions, employee relations issues, and organizational change.
Understanding of wider European labour law:
· Knowledge of labour and employment law in the countries we operate; Spain, Egypt, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, and any future areas of business.
Management of HR governance and planning
· Manage all matters related to HR governance and policies, ensuring that Alcazar has adequate frameworks, policies and guidelines to plan and execute HR activities in a way that is consistent with leading practices and business standards, and that ensures a smooth employee journey.
Management of relationships with Alcazar HQ
· Ensure full and ongoing collaboration with Alcazar HQ on all HR matters in order to ensure implementation of work in line with Alcazar policies and guidelines.
Recommendation and monitoring of budgets and plans
· Contribute to recommending and monitoring the unit budget year-long so that the business is aware of areas of unsatisfactory performance against the budget and so that performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
Relationship Management:
· You will report to the Head of HR, and have frequent interaction with DOM senior management
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
· Relevant Master’s degree or professional qualification from internationally recognised higher education institution
· Bachelor’s degree 2:1 or above
· 8+ years of experience in mid to senior roles in HR management and/or HR consulting roles in a multinational organisation, preferably in Spain in roles focused on organisational development, HR planning and project management, HR business partnership and talent management or equivalent experience
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills leading to a consultative approach within a corporate/multifunctional environment
· Ability to manage cross-functional teams
· Experience of working and managing in a multi-cultural workforce
· Exposure and understanding of the European labour market
· Strong business acumen
· Project management skills
· Strategic planning skills
· Advanced data analysis skills
· Ability to travel for business reasonably frequently
