This role is part of Alcon's Quality & Regulatory Affairs function, a team that ensures our products are in compliance with global, local, and internal regulations and meet the strictest standards of quality as we help people see brilliantly. The Manager, Quality Operations (Management Path), is primarily responsible for leading a team to manage quality operations in manufacturing and distribution. You will ensure product quality, resolve non-conformances, maintain documentation, and contribute to policy development.

Specifics Include:

  • Lead a team, overseeing daily quality management operations in manufacturing and distribution, ensuring productivity and alignment with departmental objectives
  • Make operational decisions requiring leadership, time management, and communication skills
  • Monitor product quality at various stages, resolve non-conformances promptly, and ensure rigorous quality control
  • Maintain relevant documentation and records, adhering to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Conduct performance appraisals, pay reviews, and training and development, and participate in hiring by providing recommendations
  • Contribute to policy and procedure development, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Commit to continuous improvement, meet individual job requirements, and contribute to organizational compliance

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+1 yr)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 3 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
  • Travel: Minimal
  • Work Location: Onsite – Huntington, WV
