Service Technician & Mechanic - Crane & Heavy Equipment

Position Summary

ALL Sunshine Crane Rental, located in Apopka seeking a Crane, Truck and Heavy Equipment Service Technician & Diesel Mechanic. Hands-on experience with cranes and lift equipment is a big plus. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits package. This position is eligible for a $300.00 sign-on bonus after 100 days of continuous employment.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all makes of cranes, heavy duty trucks and other equipment
• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
• Reads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, and technical drawings
• Positive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department and customers
• Prepare proper documentation of actions taken
• Able to work with diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting and repairs
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Must have a strong diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical background
• Must have basic set of mechanic’s hand tools
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity
• Previous experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks is a plus
• A CDL is desirable but not required
• Able to lift 50 pounds
