DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assembly Operations:
Lead teams in executing assembly projects, ensuring compliance with production schedules and quality standards.
Read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, or work instructions to assemble products.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for specialized assembly processes, tools, or machinery.
Operate machinery or tools such as drills, presses, or soldering equipment with proper setup and use.
Assemble subassemblies or moderately complex components as part of a larger product.
Assemble intricate or precision components requiring advanced skills or techniques (e.g., soldering microelectronics, aligning complex assemblies).
Diagnose and resolve assembly issues, including equipment malfunctions or non-conforming parts, using established procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve non-standard or unprecedented issues in the assembly process using judgment and prior experience.
Track and document production metrics, such as completed units or defects.
Implement Lean Manufacturing practices, such as identifying and eliminating waste in the assembly process.
Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards across the team.

Quality Assurance:
Inspect products for defects and functionality to quality standards.
Conduct routine quality checks using measurement tools (e.g., rulers, tape measures, calipers, micrometers) to verify product quality, functionality, and ensure parts meet specifications.
Work with Quality Team in conducting advanced inspections, including first article inspections (FAI) or audits, to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Identify and segregate defective parts for review.
Document and report non-conformance issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Perform safety walks of production area and equipment checks (e.g., ensuring tools are operational).
Maintain awareness and report to leaders’ potential safety hazards.
Collaboration and Communication:
Coordinate with related teams (e.g., engineering, quality control, logistics) to address production challenges and optimize operations.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to report issues and provide updates.
Train team members on new assembly techniques, tools, or safety protocols.
Ability to influence and motivate team members effectively without formal authority.
Provide informal guidance or mentoring to less experienced team members, including demonstrating proper assembly techniques.
Provide input on process improvements, cost-saving opportunities, and resource allocation to management.
Workspace Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Store tools and equipment properly.
Flexibility and Adaptability:
Work overtime as needed to meet production goals.
Crosstrain in other areas and adjust to new processes or technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
2+ years of assembly experience.
Specialized roles (e.g., electromechanical assembly) may require 1–3 years of experience. (OPTIONAL REMOVE IF APPLICABLE TO MANUFACTURING SITE)
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
Computer literacy, including data entry, basic knowledge of ERP systems, and ability to use barcode scanners.
Essential Skills:
Communication: Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
Assembly Techniques: Ability to use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment effectively.
Quality Control: Ability to produce parts and products to meet quality standards.
Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving assembly defects or technical issues.
Safety Awareness: Following safety protocols and maintaining hazard awareness.
Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with all employees.
Adaptability: Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of assembly experience.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with quality standards and continuous improvement methodologies.
Physical Demands:
Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.
Repetitive Motion: Perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands.
Standing Duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Environmental Exposure: Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. The expected Base Hourly Range: $20.00 - $23.00.
