The primary responsibility is process improvement, utilizing lean techniques to standardize and simplify processes, ultimately delivering value in process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities

Dedicate majority of time (60%-80%) on the shop floor (Gemba) in assigned process path(s)
→
Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities
→
Utilize lean techniques to standardize and simplify processes, ensuring efficient and effective operations
→
Learn/Utilize lean tools & techniques such as standardization, problem solving, people engagement, leadership soft-skills, one-piece flow, Kanban/pull systems, continuous improvement, value stream mapping, visual management, error proofing, 5S, training, etc.

Measure key performance indicators before and after implementation to evaluate the success of process improvements
→
Engage with team members to gain a comprehensive understanding of the process(es) involved and actively listen to their needs and feedback
→
Support the change management procedure by effectively communicating with stakeholders and addressing any concerns or challenges that arise

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related discipline, preferably Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/etc.), Supply Chain or related field.

Bachelor’s Degree student – Junior or Sophomore
Strong interest in process improvement and lean methodologies
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members
Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
