We are currently looking for an Competitive Benchmarking Engineer to join our team in NTCNA-Farmington Hills, MI.    

The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.

  • Facilitate and lead vehicle and component-level benchmark activities to identify best practices as well as areas of opportunity (cost, quality, mass, technology) on current production and future model vehicles.

  • Support specific requests from Engineering teams for deep analysis of Nissan and Competitor vehicles.

  • Track and report output of teardowns and activities

  • Support and facilitate manufacturing line walks

  • Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering 

  • 2 – 3 years of Automotive Design experience; Benchmarking experience is a plus

  • Strong communication skills; able to conduct presentations to various levels within the company

  • Project management skills (timing and scheduling)

  • Demonstrates experience in applying AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies, generative AI tools, or AI analytics to improve operational efficiency and drive engineering decisions

  • Skilled with MS PowerPoint and MS Excel for reporting and analysis
