As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling, ideal for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and eager to help others live more independently.
- Job Type: Part-time
- Pay: $16.00 per hour
- Location: Gaithersburg, MD
- Schedule: Varies by client; evening and weekend options available
Typical schedules range from 10–25 hours per week, depending on client needs and your availability.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes and in the community.
- →Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, light household tasks, and basic academic or skill-building support.
- →Encourage social engagement and community integration by supporting clients in activities such as shopping, going to the park, attending events, or participating in hobbies.
- →Follow and implement individualized support plans and goals tailored to each person’s needs.
- →Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, progress notes, and any incidents, including seizures or other health-related events.

Preferred (not required – we provide training):
- Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Additional education or training in human services or a related field.
