Lead Java Software Engineer

• →Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs supporting enterprise payment solutions.
• →Participate in Agile ceremonies including iteration planning, standups, and retrospectives, helping drive continuous improvement across the team.
• →Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• →Contribute to the architecture, development, and operation of scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• →Apply engineering best practices including clean code principles, test-driven development, code reviews, and automated testing.
• →Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes that support reliable software delivery.
• →Monitor, troubleshoot, and support applications in production environments.
• →Contribute to the codebase while ensuring adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices.

• 4+ years of software development experience using Java and J2EE technologies, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring IoC, Spring Security, Spring AOP, and related Spring frameworks.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs, including API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI), versioning, service discovery, testing, and microservice architectures.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, software design patterns, and modern software development practices.
• Experience with relational databases, including schema design, indexing strategies, query optimization, and SQL development.
• Experience with automated testing and Test Driven Development (TDD) using frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, JBehave, or similar tools.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Gradle, Maven, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience deploying and operating containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, or similar platforms.
• Experience developing and supporting production services with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or XP environments.

• Experience building and operating high-volume, distributed systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Experience with messaging and event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar technologies.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, PCF, Azure, or equivalent cloud environments.
• Experience with application security and quality tooling such as SonarQube, Fortify, Contrast, or similar products.
• Exposure to modern front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, or Angular. While this role is primarily focused on backend engineering, the ability to collaborate across the full stack is a plus.

• 5 or more years of experience (preferred)
