Head of Technology Center

ACG_3874_JOB Our client, a leading technology and industrial equipment company in Vietnam, is looking for a qualified talent to join their firm. JOB OVERVIEW Lead the research, development, and in-house mastery of the organization’s core technologies, including P2P Streaming, Hybrid Recording, AI Vision, E2E Encryption, Data Analytics, AutoPilot, ID/Mechanical Engineering Design, Electrical Engineering Design, and Product Engineering Design. The role is responsible for building and owning core technology capabilities, developing and securing intellectual property and patents, and creating technological barriers and sustainable competitive advantages for the security technology sector. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and drive the organization’s three-to-five-year technology strategy. Research and assess emerging technology trends and translate them into detailed technology roadmaps, blueprints, and P&L plans. Define research directions and build the organization’s intellectual property capabilities, including the development of proprietary technologies, patents, and core technology solutions. Establish and manage a network of strategic technology partners to support technology development while ensuring quality standards and compliance with the requirements of relevant public security authorities and applicable domestic laws and regulations. Lead, manage, and oversee new technology development projects from planning through implementation. Work closely with Product teams and other relevant functions to support product launches and ensure products are delivered on schedule. Coordinate with the Marketing function to develop and execute annual technology marketing strategies and campaigns. Coordinate with the parent organization in implementing programs, research initiatives, and projects funded by public-sector sources. Drive continuous technology improvement and ensure that the organization’s technology capabilities remain up to date and competitive. Requirements Education and Certifications A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications and Electronics, Computer Science, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence, Materials Science, or another relevant field is required. A Master’s degree or PhD in Technology, Technology Management, or a related discipline is preferred. Certifications in Project Management, Technology Management, Agile, or Scrum are preferred. Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, TOGAF, ITIL, AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent qualifications are considered an advantage. Certifications related to Information Security or Cybersecurity are also preferred. Experience A minimum of 10 years of experience in technology, system development, or Research and Development is required, including at least five years in a technology management position or in a leadership role within a technology center, division, or equivalent function. The successful candidate should have proven experience in developing medium- and long-term technology strategies, building technology roadmaps and system blueprints, and managing technology-related P&L. Strong experience in managing large-scale and complex technology projects is required. Experience participating in publicly funded programs or projects, or working with government authorities responsible for technology management, is preferred. Experience in researching and developing intellectual property, patents, or proprietary core technology solutions is also considered an advantage. Professional Skills Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, technology architecture, system development, infrastructure, technology platforms, and integration. Solid understanding of R&D, innovation management, core technology development, technology budgeting, cost management, and investment evaluation. Knowledge of relevant regulations on technology, data, information security, and compliance. Familiarity with Project Management, Agile/Scrum, DevSecOps, and relevant technology management tools. Proficient in standard office applications, project management tools, and technical systems. Soft Skills Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills. Strategic and systems thinking, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, negotiation, and partnership-building skills. Proactive, accountable, results-oriented, adaptable, and able to work effectively under pressure. Strong innovation mindset, continuous improvement orientation, integrity, confidentiality, and change management capability. Others Proficiency in at least one foreign language; English or Chinese is preferred. Willingness to travel as required. An established network with technology partners, research institutes, universities, or relevant technology and regulatory organizations is an advantage.
