Product Engineer III

ACG_3388_JOB Our client is a leading garment corporation, who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm. Key Responsibilities Take full engineering ownership of assigned footwear models from development handoff through technical approval milestones and final readiness for commercialization. Partner with development, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to ensure product engineering requirements are translated accurately into executable build solutions. Evaluate manufacturability and optimize construction, assembly methods, and engineering details to support quality, consistency, and scalable production. Support the transition from development into commercialization by ensuring technical details, specifications, and build requirements are fully aligned with factory execution capabilities. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues related to wear testing, fit, construction, materials, and build performance in collaboration with internal and external partners. Work closely with factories and regional stakeholders to address technical challenges, improve execution, and maintain development timelines. Maintain accurate engineering documentation, technical records, and product communication across global and regional teams. Provide clear technical updates, escalate engineering risks when needed, and support decision-making throughout the product creation process. Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering standards, development processes, and product quality outcomes. Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, product development, materials, manufacturing, or a related field. Experience 5–8+ years of relevant experience in footwear engineering, footwear development, or a similar technical product creation role. Experience in performance footwear or technically complex product categories is strongly preferred. Proven track record of working across development and commercialization stages in partnership with factories and cross-functional teams. Experience collaborating with manufacturing partners in Asia and engaging with international stakeholders is highly desirable. Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of footwear materials, construction techniques, assembly methods, and engineering principles. Good knowledge of manufacturability considerations and production-readiness requirements. Familiarity with wear testing, build validation, and product performance evaluation processes. Working knowledge of footwear testing standards and quality expectations. Core Competencies Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement practical engineering solutions. Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication capability. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. High attention to detail, strong documentation discipline, and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across regions.
